>Serotek Announces an End to Software Maintenance Agreements
>Industry Standard SMAs No Longer Standard
>
>MINNEAPOLIS, Minn ? January 28, 2009 ? Serotek Corporation, the leading provider of internet and digital information accessibility software and services, today announced that it will no longer require a fee to upgrade or maintain any software in its product line.
>Software companies traditional have charged fees under a contract, commonly known as a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA), to upgrade to newer versions of their software packages. Serotek will continue to provide regular upgrades and software improvements but will offer them free of charge to all Serotek customers.
>The announcement was formally made today at the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) annual conference in Orlando, Florida, with the company?s ?RIP SMA? campaign. The first such offering of its kind, the news was met with great user enthusiasm.
>?True to our belief that accessibility is right, not a privilege, we are excited to lead the industry in pronouncing SMAs are dead.? said Mike Calvo, CEO, Serotek Corporation, ?Users of our System Access product line can now enjoy one price, one time, forever. And we encourage the industry to follow suit.?
>Reactions to this news can be found on the company?s podcast, Serotalk, which is being broadcast live from the conference?s Internet Café, which is being sponsored by the Serotek Corporation. Those unable to attend the conference can listen to the Serotalk podcast by going to www.serotalk.com.

a big post
Wednesday, January 28th, 2009Hi all.
here is a big post.
several things were released which I will get to.
office genuine advantage.
Yeah I guess it was just a matter of time before this came out.
If you have a lagit copy of office thats fine but if you don’t, well you
know so don’t load it.
I did by mistake and well removing it is not going to happen.
There are ways to get it not to remind you every time but I won’t go there.
Just know that once its on you are probably stuck with it.
I don’t use office much anyway.
Ms dotnet 3.5 sp1.
I am still looking for a redist for this, its about 250mb in size.
Really I want a package for it instead of getting it on each system.
canoscan 4.2 package.
Read softwarepatch.com for the scanners, listed.
you can either get the entire package or just the scanner you want.
lida 60 500f 500 9000 and I think 8000 scanners are in here I forget.
Ie8rc1 well a new version has been released.
How did it go.
quite good although loads of new things that I really have not bothered
with currently.
You can turn off most of the toolbars in it now though which is good
although you can’t make it fully like ie6 yet.
I don’t know how to switch modes either.
If you had office live or something that uses msn signin assistant the beta
instals a version of the addon that is out of date.
Hal seems to crash on pages till I uninstalled the beta and turned the
addon off.
Also some sluggishness existed after uninstall.
Fixed most of it by restoring all the dolphin maps from defaults.
thats it, be carefull out there.
aah wait no it aint.
wikipedia may be changing some of its polocies because eronious news
articles were put on their site.
some are not happy with this change.

>The STEP-HEAR? system is based on Radio Frequency (RF) technology and is comprised of two units: a transmitter/base and a small receiver/activator. Installed at strategic locations, the base sends out a continuous signal. When the activator, held by the user, is within the range of the base, it vibrates and beeps. Pressing a button on the activator will trigger a pre-recorded voice message from the base. This helps the user to obtain information and become oriented toward the location, be it an office, an elevator or a bus.
