road closures

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Hi all.
Ms has released an update to silverlite.
Ok so why the title?
Its been a rough week with weather effecting some net traffic and hackers (know from now on as lightning strikes) playing havoc with the net.
www.blind-gamers.com is offline, the files on there are ok but the site is having a platform recode and secure.
Warning!!!
audyssey.org was reported last night to be making some people have their scanners pop up, I checked it out and in deed although I did not have my shields up due to performance the site did click a couple links, although scans of my system found nothing in spyware department with spybot I removed a program starting up that was not supposed to and some files from my root folder.
At any case today moderators of the descussion list have confirmed that the site has a virus and are investigating and probably securing the site.
If you have to go to it for information please detour to audiogames.net.
If you need to get on the list, highway right now you can’t, if you are on the list then unless you need to access archives or anything through the site then you are ok.
Those that want audyssey issues please use the mirrors for the issues not sure what they are.

Please drive safely thank you.
Or something.
Really people please be carefull.
also spywareblaster has an update to its databases.
remember after updating to disable and reenable the protections so your checker rechecks the entire database else its going to think its something it aint.

microsoft and yahoo to join against google

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Hi.
Microsoft and yahoo have decided to join forces to compete against google.
What does this mean?
yahoo is going to use bing.
ANd whilst this has maybe a bit to many results, its actually accessible, I have used it on the ms website and whilst its a little strange its actually good enough to use at least with ie6.
Also ms advert tech will be used on yahoo adds sites.
Hopefully this will get rid of some annoyances.
spybot has a library update which should be loaded to.
nothing else to report.
later

Increasing number of attacks on security sites.

This is very interesting. No idea how someone did something, but yet theories. Lets get to the bottom of it, so we can learn what happened, and we can learn how to defend against it. Wouldn’t that be nice?

OK, this is definitely strange, putting a retweet and putting someone elses name on it? That’s outright wrong.

updates and things

Hi.
firstly about the articles.
I was not supprised voip was left so long without being spammed.
Nothing is secure, however it was expect someone would make it.
Face book.
Someone got intimate with someone else on facebook which did not work out I watched a tv program yesterday while having my lunch which said as much.
The net shouldn’t be blured into the real world.
I can see why texting and driving is just a no no.
Even if you don’t crash its offputing and does not look good.
Although its not confirmed I suspect ms has fixed the 0day trogen thing in ie.
Ms usually only release updates half way through a month.
on the 15th 16 or 9th or as close as possible.
Today the 29th ms released ie updates and visual c ++ 05 and 08 sp1 lib upgrades.
there is probably more I have not checked the systems with office on them.
