RE: TruthOrFiction.com Virus Alert

A couple of virus warnings that are out there today:

The first one is capitalizing on the death of pop star Michael Jackson.

The email comes with a subject line about Michael Jackson such as
“Remembering Michael Jackson.”

It appears to come from an email address from “michaeljackson.com”

It includes an attachment titled “Michael spongs and pictures.zip” which
is described to include secret songs and pictures of Jackson.

Security experts warn, however, that if you click the attachment you are
exposed to a computer virus—-one that almost immediately starts
spreading the virus to other Internet users via email.

The second one is an email offering you a software update from Microsoft.

This one directs you to a link—-but don’t click it. It, too, will
expose you to infection.

As always—have good virus protection software and keep it up to date.
