Technology podcast 93: November 28, 2009

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

OK folks,
I’m mad! I’m utterly mad! 4 podcasts in a month, the second within a day of release of each other, and I’m mad! Lots more in twitter, and one I’m sure I’ll talk about when I read it from the stream.

  1. Some shopping news dealing with credit cards, bank statements, etc. that you’ll want to keep in mind this season especially.
  2. Dropbox what is it and how does it work? I don’t demo it, but I explain what it is, how it works, and how accessible it is. The link is a referral link, you may sign up through it. I explain the referral program as well.
  3. The blog, and some of what is posted.

Did I say I’m mad? download the podcast right here! (89.5mb)

Fwd: Re: [dolphinusers] i phone

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

Hi.
in the midst of all the good reviews we get this to hear about iphone.
In brief summery you can’t attach bluetooth keyboards only some headsets.
You can not unlock your phone because apple concider it alegal.
I suggest everyone stay with nokia.
Oh and without itunes no pc file transfer, my mac has all files accessible from windows itself!!
This post from onj on dolphinusers should showcase why I think apple are spoilingit.

TheOPINIONATOR: Britian – Muslim Social Networking Sexual Predator Texted Apology to Victim.

When I first saw this article on November 28, 2009: I felt kind of sick. Here is a guy using technology to get his needs met? Using technology to apologize for his crime which then got him jailed? Can I say “asshole?” I usually don’t put these type of stories even if I searched for them on the net, because this just doesn’t fit this blog. Especially if it involved kids which this one doesn’t. However, sex and tech just don’t mix very well, unless you take the old Sex drive from wired which I had found interesting until it was discontinued. No new articles have been posted there. You can comment on this one if you all want, notating that there may be strong language etc. in the comment sections.
