computers are evil

Hi.
I skimmed through the cast just now, maily because I am quite bussy
this and in fact the next 3 weeks will be quite busy.
Ok firstly I semi disaggree with the fact children shouldn’t have a
pc in their room.
Ok firstly it depends on how savy the child is, children here at
about 6 and up are learning the system and are quite savy with it, my
11 year old cousin has his own laptop and my other cousin roughly the
same age hers.
They also have ipods.
Ok, we can’t protect people from everything as nothing is really fullproof.
I think it wrong to just not having people especially children have a
computer and before you start jumping down my throat I know the
safety aspect I read on this blog and in fact have to deal with
hackers and other junk every day.
But making a child have no computer won’t help as they will most
invariably find ways to get online, get that gmail, facebook, etc.
Ok saying that its all child spaciffic.
If a child is quite sensitive about things in general then they
shouldn’t have the net right away.
Maybe a game computer or something firstly.
Secondly if a child will play his or her computer or whatever instead
of working then having a computer of any sort is a no no.
So it depends on parents and children alike to aggree if they should
have a system in their rooms or not.
However I disaggree in the princapal that no child should have a
computer in their room just because a book says so.
