In today’s newsletter, we have scams that are targeting us here in the U.S. and one of them was familiar when I read it, as I got a call some years back when I had a landline that said they were collecting money for the police department.
He called from a Los Angeles area code and said he was collecting money for the police department. I said that I have never heard the police calling residents, and he lowered his amount to donate. I eventually hung up.
This isn’t the only scam targeting the U.S., says komando.com and the article Phone scam warning: Hang up if you get one of these calls which I read thoroughly. I urge my U.S. readers to do the same.
Now, I don’t even answer unknown calls, and I don’t have a landline. This is going to get very interesting.
Thanks so much for reading!
