While TSB was being recorded today, I saw a tweet from twitter support that indicated that they raised the limit of tweet characters from 280 to 4,000.
Alarmingly, it appears that this may have caused the service to crash world wide. A boosted post (retweet) on mastodon linked to this article titled Twitter goes down worldwide just minutes after launching expanded tweet counts [U: Fixed] and for now anyway, third party app support is still operating as my client is still working for now.
I read this article and I’m not exactly sure what to think. I know tomorrow will be an interesting day, and while the mention of moving from Sacramento to Atlanta is in this article, does it really matter where a company is based?
