What has been posted to email host security’s resources page, cutoff February 7, 2023

Hello everyone. We’ve got quite a bit on all aspects of EMHS’s resources sections.
e
We have a new term, we’ve got a at least two new books, and a few articles by Komando staff that might peak your interest.

For the complete resources list, please go over to email host security and learn about it and what we’re trying to do.

Terms

The biggest term to date has not been here till now. We’ve talked about this term we’ll be pointing to from time to time, but it has not been linked till now.

What is the term? The term is Denial-of-service attack and it is one that has a large page of various kinds of denial of services.

Speaking of terms, we posted an article lately talking about Whaling. The problem is that Whaling is part of Phishing, which is linked here within the terms set. We’ll re-evaluate this term during TSB’s program because Phishlabs did a great job in covering it and other types of phishing as part of the landscape we now live in.

Blog posts

We have several blog posts that has come across my desk, and I think one of these I didn’t blog. This is because I was going to cover it as part of today’s post but at the same time, maybe it should have been covered just the same.

Here are those posts.

If my memory serves me, I didn’t blog

  • Find out who’s calling you from an unknown or blocked number because the disability community normally don’t run background checks. While this blog is trying to be inclusive, and now that we’re moving to Mastodon because of Twitter’s decisions, we should be more inclusive of everything we cover and I want to highlight this article for those who need to know about it.

There are some other great articles within this blog list, so make sure you check them out and decide what is going to work best for you.

    Books

We’ve added several more books to the list. One of them, an Andy Greenberg book, one of them I found on bookshare and haven’t read it yet, and another one that was pingged at me by Kindle’s things you might be interested section by an author named Andy Levin.

    • Andy Greenberg
  • Adam Levin
  • I have not read any of these books, but this machine kills secrets was found much earlier before I thought up EMHS. It is still valuable. I’m sure that more books from the list that Nick was sent as authors go will be sent. We don’t need to list every book read, but list those that are helpful to the cause of what is happening in today’s space.

    companies and services

We’ve not had any new entries to the companies and services section of EMHS in awhile. We want to know what people are using. If you know it is accessible for people with disabilities, let us know that too. For now, check out the list on EMHS’s web page.
