As part of the Kim Komando newsletter, Komando staff is writing again about Neson for the second time.
This time, they’re talking about the emblem that could in theory fall off and become a fluying catastrophy, injuring anyone in the car with the driver getting first dibs.
What irritates me about this article isn’t the fact that the news is getting out, but the fact tht letters are not going to go to woners of the affected owners until April!
If someone like Kim Komando or her staff is publishing this now, why are you waiting until April to notify your owners?
Social Media is strong, and owners will call you now and ask you what they need to do.
Here are the models that are affected by this recall.
- Armada 2008 through 2011 models.
- • Frontier 2008 through 2011 models.
- Pathfinder 2008 through 2011 models.
- Quest 2008 and 2009 models.
- Titan 2008 through 2011 models.
- Xterra 2008 through 2011 models.
Please, Neson, do not wait to mail your owners until April. While I understand you’re developing a fix for this, news is out about the recalls now. I do not understand why you are waiting that long. With many owners that could be affected by this, my opinion is that you’re making the wrong choice.
This is only my opinion, and you’re going to do whatever you’re going to do,, but I would notify people as soon as I knew of a problem even if I didn’t have a fix.
Thoughts on this are welcome. Want to read the full article by Komando staff? I almost forgot to put the article in this blog post! Don’t worry, I’ve got you. The article is titled Nearly 500K older Nissans recalled for a dangerous airbag issue and I hope that owners click through to read this article and call their dealer about this. You need to know about this as quickly as possible, even if it is 10-15 years later. I understand that.
Please drive safe.
