Hello folks,
As promised, we took some time off to allow an article to sit at the top as it needed to be based on what it discussed.
As we start to blog again, we want to start the blogging with information on Windows Update from komando.
This is a short article, and covers steps on how to update if you don’t have Windows Update on. I understand why people don’t have it on, and the article talks about all of the fixes.
Its titled Patch your Windows PC now to fix 3 zero-day exploits and was posted the 17th.
Usually they post this type of article a day or so after Krebs on Security does, but for some reason, it took a little longer.
Here’s the list of what has been fixed.
- 12 Elevation of Privilege flaws.
- Two Security Feature Bypass flaws.
- 38 Remote Code Execution flaws.
- Eight Information Disclosure flaws.
- 10 Denial of Service flaws.
- Eight Spoofing flaws.
All of these are bad, and it even briefly talks about the zero-days and discusses what they are.
Some people may like this type of article instead of the more technical Krebs article or others that may be out there. Its ok for us to post multiple ones so people can see the different kinds and chose which one fits their understanding style if you will.
Thanks for reading and make it a great day!
