Linux now part of ice fire’s malware, and its now windows, linux and dangerous to boot

In another article I spotted this morning, I thought this would be good to blog. I don’t remember if we covered Ice when it was a Windows malware piece, but now its a Linux malware piece.

It includes a decrypter, which means it could possibly be turned in to ransomware. So now, we’ve got another potential of ransomware and this time Linux system administrators need to be aware.

The article has several different figures within this article, and I’m using the first one for the image of this article.

Headings include:

  • IBM Aspera Faspex targeting
  • Most ransomware strains encrypt Linux servers

Of course, the article is a heading, but those are the main two sections of this article I’m passing along tonight.

I hope that this finds everyone well, and please stay safe out there.
