French search engine says they don’t install cookies, track users; partners with Firefox

Cybernews is reporting that a French search Engine will be partnering with the browser maker to provide unbiased search results because the engine doesn’t track anyone.

The company name is Qwant. At the time of writing, I dont see this in my search settings with ctrl+k to search then alt+down arrow to select a provider. This doesn’t mean the article is wrong, but it will possibly be coming in a future update that I don’t have here at headquarters.

Duckduckgo is also listed in the alt+down arrow options and you can go to settings within that list to change default behavior.

Firefox chooses French partner to prevent user tracking is the article.
