serotek update: the truth hurts
Hi folks,
As part of podcast 207 which I recorded through the past month, we now learn more about Serotek’s decisions. It had nothing to do with the work that was being done except for one thing which the company wanted to change to make the company better moving forward. In their recent podcast which was just released this past week, the former CEO and co-founder Mike Calvo really laid down the line.
He was talking more about the technical support the company graceously was offering. In a way, it was a good thing, but in a way, they were never designed to offer the support they graceously provided their customers. In this podcast, he discusses the fact that support is changing, and I know personally, people are going to be upset about it.
Something else which really made the wheels turn at Serotek, was the fact that they were going to pay back some money they withheld because they needed to at the time. This next year, they were going to pay back in a way the money employees were not paid when they had to take paycuts. I think that they should have taken this, but as we learn, several different members were going to do other things anyway. I envite you to check out SeroTalk Podcast 221: The Good, The Bad, the Future as they discuss these important changes. The truth about their support may hurt you, but it is the honest truth. I’ll talk about my thoughts in a future podcast, but this will do for now. I also want to relisten to the program and then tape right after it. I do have an idea what I would like to talk about, but want to have it fresh. Do leave your thoughts about the cast in the comments, and if you want to air them on the podcast, get in touch and I’ll see what I can do. I hope by passing this along, everyone can be informed, and make their own decisions.
