This is ridiculous: Microsoft no longer accepts long passwords, shortens them for you

I just read This is ridiculous: Microsoft no longer accepts long passwords, shortens them for you and I think this is rediculous. I know that I’ve probably seen worse with the Apple vs Samsung case, but that was different. This is security, and this needs to be fixed. Steve Gibson has always said that longer is better, and yes, 16 characters should be enough in theory, but with possibly being hacked as Hotmail was and outlook may in the future, this security stuff needs to be done right. I suggest people check out this article, and report your thoughts where appropriate.
