Looks like with all of what is going on in this world, software releases are looking like they’re on schedule. In this post, I’m going to link to a couple of posts that talk about IOS 14.
The first one is called What’s New in iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 for Blind and Deaf-Blind Users and is packed with tons of information that might be of interest.
Noteably, I like the messages feature within this post whereby you can now see by headings that you can find your place within a conversation.
I also like the idea of the image recognition updates, and it sounds promising.
The second post, The Accessibility Bugs Introduced and Resolved in iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 for Blind and Low Vision Users will also be posted within this blog post. The list is posted by serious, minor, and moderate. This should be reviewed to determine whether it is worth upgrading or not.
I am not sure about some of these bugs because I’ve never used some of these functions whether it is 14 or not. There is new functionality in the first blog which is discussed and its also discussed here some of the issues. The good news, is that there are not major serious bugs. You should look at this list to determine if this effects you.
Hope everyone is well, and finds this of interest. Looks like IOS 14 will be available on September 16th. Have fun!
