I don’t store all my data on my web site, and I wouldn’t use my server that way even if I paid for a full server. If I had multiple servers, maybe I could use some of one, but it would be separate from the web site.
Looks like the group was able to restore from backup copies and limit the infection which is good. This is going to be interesting. Very interesting.
As a proof of concept, they released a contract. Why aren’t the contracts and other documents stored lsewhere like in a dropbox, google drive, or Amazon web services for example? That’s putting your eggs in one basket, and this company could’ve been owned.
