Ubiquiti sues Brian Krebs

This is saddening. As we covered the articles by Brian, this is completely wrong.

I believe that Journalism in its nature is hard, and not wanting to blow your cover on a story must be hard, especially when it comes to covering a breach.

The problem with the Ubiquiti breach as a whole is that Ubiquiti did not come forward with the facts they had. They downplayed the incident and claimed it was not as bad as claimed, or maybe they claimed it was worse, but regardless, they never really told the general public what was happening.

The quoted portion of one of Brian’s articles seemed to be written well to me, as you don’t want to mention who your source is, but yet, you find out things that make it a great story.

The article in question is titled Ubiquiti sues journalist, alleging defamation in coverage of data breach and was written by Ars Technica.

This is definitely something we need to watch, and the money they’re asking for is more I’m paying on some repairs to the home I;’ve had to endure lately.

We don’t know what Brian does for a living besides write for his blog, but we do know that he runs Ads. The fact he is paid by advertisors means nothing.

I also have an advertisement network page which I’d love to get off the ground, but its definitely not easy.

I know that people want visual things to click on, but I want to acomodate everyone, and text is the best way for me. I’ve got guidelines like any others, and I want to be fair about things but they’re soft guidelines just the same.

Thanks so much for reading, I’ll be checking out what i want to do for the podcast coming up, and we’ll have more content later.
