Getting a call or text asking to send money to yourself? Its a scam

Kim has been talking about scams for awhile, and I read a thing on Wells Fargo hat talked about sending money to yourself.

I never understood how this was possible, as I’m the only one with my account, although there are other arrangements for monitoring purposes. You may have the same thing.

Well, Kim Komando is here with how this works with her staff posting about this.

I feel that this is very useful, especially since the holidays are around.

The scam starts with a text message asking for approval or denial of a charge, and no matter what, you get a call.

First, know the number to the bank. Wells Fargo’s number is not the number listed in this article if I remember correctly.

The scammer asks for proof of ownership or something, and asks for a code.

Be on guard, stay alert.
