In a recent article just coming out of Krebs that I saw, it looks like there is a lawsuit at least in Massachusetts that will force the state to make a devision on reimbursing their constituents for stolen funds that were stolen because of the fact that their EBT cards were used illegally.
As discussed in a prior article, these cards may not even have a mag stripe, so have to be scanned by hand. But actors have been using this knowledge to steal money from these poor victims that can’t even do anything about it.
This time, the article is titled Lawsuit Seeks Food Benefits Stolen By Skimmers which reminds of what was happening, and wht the lawsuit hopes to have done.
