Be prepared for a bait-and-switch scam and its not going to be good

Hello folks,

Speaking of scams, we just posted about such things that Lastpass posted about.

The article from komando.com is titled New Facebook scam banks on you sharing a heartbreaking post. <

Read More abot Bait-and-switch from Wikipedia. While the article says it needs work and that unsourced material can be removed, just take a gander at it and read it at your own risk.

The thing about these posts on facebook is that they’ll start ith a heartbreaking story like a dog got lost or a child got kidnapped. After so many shares, the post is changed to some ad that might be malicious.

By this time, enough people were convinced that the actors might have had a csh in by this tactic. We’ll be adding this term to the EMHS website when we update it next.

Feel free to check out the article for complete details on this new tactic.

As a side note, I never share anything I read on facebook. I view facebook as a piece of commentary that anyone can post, and even it if its from an official source, I just don’t feel like sharing stuff. Its just not worth it to me.

Anyhow, here’s some more stuff, so feel free to check it out.
