Icloud relay in trouble as its being used for ad fraud?

Herbie sent this to us through Apple insider. The article is titled Apple’s iCloud Private Relay being abused in $65M ad fraud which is quite interesting.

There is a term in here I’m not too familiar with called ICPR and it has to do with Safari according to the article.

Fraudsters can abuse the private relay because the IP addresses are trusted and no check to determine whether its the real account or an IP that was just put in as part of the request was used.

This is quite fascinating, I wonder what people think?
