There are three Christmas scams making the rounds, all we’ve covered in some form or another

The holidays are great for some, not so great for others, and lucritive for criminals if you do not understand some of the common scams which Check Point Research has seen an uptick on.

The article is coming from Komando.com and is titled Missed a Christmas delivery? That email might be a scam.

The scams are:

  • Change in banking details
  • UPS, DHL or USPS delivery notifications
  • failed delivery scam

We’ve covered these in some detail in the past, but again, they seem to be comning back now more than ever. People are receiving gifts and things they’ve ordered for others, and the delivery scams are very prevalent now more than normal times.

Please make sure you read this one. Don’t be surprised. Oh, and these scams can come in Email, SMS and it wouldn’t surprise me if they eventually try social media at some point.
