A well known antivirus company being used for scams

Now its time that I really learn how to spell these companies when I write so there is no confusion between what might be the scam and what might be the real one.

In this case, email will be coming from Mcafee when th a in the name is capitalized.

In the scam, the name is Mcafee with the address not being on the proper domain and a string of random characters. If McAfee were to email you, they would use their own domain.

The links would also go to their web site and not to some random page which would ask for personal information.

McAfee has a page where you can check your subscription if you use the product.

The article is titled New antivirus scam email spreading — Don’t click! and it is a must read if you use this product.

Even if you don’t, you may be tempted because you might think that you need the product but you might not get it.
