Buying stuff on Amazon is probably the go to now. But we all must be careful of what we’re getting.
I believe for the community I serve, this article coming out of komando might help, but without seeing pictures, it may be hard. We rely more on the text than images.
Making sure the seller is reputable is definitely key, I always read the descriptions of what I’m getting. Even though I baught USB drives from walmart, I do the same thing.
You might want to take a look at the article to see if you’ve seen things it talks about in your searches.
The article is titled Don’t waste money on this tech rip-off on Amazon and luckily, the product was removed from Amazon. This doesn’t mean that new ones will eventually pop up and people taken advantage of.
If you can, I’d probably recommend calling someone you trust or sending them the listing to see what they think before you buy.
