According to the Montreal Gazette, Quebeck residents can now freeze their credit. This opinion piece, boosted by Brian Krebs is titled Opinion: Quebecers, act now to freeze your credit file and should be perused.
If you’re not in that province, it urges you to contact your legislators to get them to enact similar laws.
Its been at least 20 years, says the opinion piece, but the U.S. has had this for awhile and only recently went free within the past several years. Search this out to learn more about the Free freezing we can do here in the United States.
I’d say to go to the blog and look, but for some reason, I’m not finding this, even tough I probably covered it.
You can search it using your favorite search engine and find revelant imfo there, although you should look to see where you’re going to maximize your search.
