Mental Health is complicated. I bet all of us have times where we need that help where we need to talk to a professional. Its fine if that’s what is needed.
According to this Komando article Did you use this mental health app? It shared data with Facebook the app shares data with the popular social media app, and this can’t necessarily be good.
Let’s say that i wanted help after my father died and i used this app to seek counseling. By law, what I tell the counselor is between me and them except in certain circumstances. The counselor knows what those are better than I.
Suffice it to say, I wouldn’t want my business of what I’m feeling to go out on Facebook or any other social media platform.
If I were to blog it, that’s my business, but I wouldn’t necessarily give every little detail either. Maybe make up something that might be similar without giving too much away.
I know and have heard that writing is the best medicine at times. But some people can’t do that, or don’t.
Writing journals are great and can document things and I say go for it. Just set your journal appropriately whether using Live Journal, Word Press or any other platform.
With that said, I hope that this company is stright forward with what’s going on after this mistake and is transparent with what they’re going to do to make sure that this doesn’t happen again. Talking to people is always good if that’s what you need.
I’m not a professional, you should seek your own professional for the best advice.
