Capita breached, data exfiltrated, capita says “No we weren’t”

Kevin Beaumont was boosted by Brian Krebs with a very interesting read.

The problem was that this was at least a two month fiasco and only two days ago did Capita finally come out and say they did have data exfiltrated.

In today’s society, the faster you can be truthful with customers and investors, the better you are. While ransomware is never good, you want to tell people what is going on. At least I would.

Kevin’s article is titled Russian hackers exfiltrated data from from Capita over a week before outage and don’t mind the double “From” as that’s how its titled. I’ve done that at times.

If anyone wants to give this company a bonehead, this should be it for next week. They still don’t think they need to tell anyone about the problem.

Does this have to go in to the “you have to be kidding me” department?
