Google is not living up to its promise of deleting certain types of data

Hey folks,

According to the Washington Post, Google is not living up to its end of the bargain of deleting your data in certain situations. Google promised to delete sensitive data. It logged my abortion clinic visit. talks about how Google said they would delete your data when visiting places that are personal to you like health clinics and treatment centers.

Two different reporters including the one writing the story said that it is not consistant and they even change where you are.

I don’t remember there being an article that indicated Google saying these things, but if I were a maps company, I would really be vigilent on what I collect. It isn’t my business where you go and for what reason.

The article talks about steps you can take to minimize what the giant collects on you including using a different mapping program.
