The Earn it act seems to be back, may die … again

I remember hearing about this supposed act, which claims to allow for encryption, but send everything we do to local police or somewhere else. This came from an unlikely source who boosted it from someone who read it from Reclaim The Net.

The article is titled Senate Judiciary Committee Advances Bill That Would End Private Messaging and it is something we need to keep an eye on.

This seems to be a U.S. bill, and could be a big problem if it passed.

I’m glad some of the senators are starting to understand how bad this could be, and the people who wrote the bill ignored people who mentioned its potential loopholes.

Here we go, again! If this were to pass, i’d get off all of the messaging platforms and just use email or phone calls. Not that I’m doing anything bad, but lawmakers just don’t understand, and while some may, bill writers definitely don’t.
