Sam Altman has another Idea, Kim Komando has the details

According to a recent Kim Komando minute, Sam Altman just doesn’t run Open AI. He runs another company which hopes to be able to scan everyone’s eyes. Why? Because he is hoping that by identifying people, he could make a global ID system whether we want it or not.

The company’s name is World Coin, and you would need to be able to pay for anything that you could ever want.

Kim asks, “Why isn’t this making the news?”

Ponder this.

  1. To be honest your question is interesting.
    Ok you asked why.
Maybe there are to many companies like this about look at for example all the companies and ideas to make tthe blind see.

If there was a final solution I wouldn’t be sitting here posting this thing from home.
TThe reality is that a new id is good and all but its not the big news.
Between our own self interested battles, including the 2 communist superpowers namely russia and china.
The hackers, and other things we really don’t have much left.
Covid is also a problem as is the climate.
Back here my country is in the grips of a government with its own adgenda, and while we are close to elections now, well my point is most of us have our own fish to fry.
A new id doesn’t come close to our every day issues.
Take my last week for example.
I have been and am technically still suffering from a bad heavy cold, which is not covid.
Thats 99.9% gone now and I am back on my training equipment down stairs but still a bit weak.
I need to take part in a promo for my local blindness shop and get that blindshell upgrade for basic communication which will cost me all of 300 for the unit after rebaits and then I can spend a bit on accesseries like a case, and storage.
A person that my family knows is in hospital, its been wet all week and life is just bussy.
Anyway people tried some sort of id before.
This thing could be abused probably.
Anyway not all eyes can be scanned.
When I do id security, due to what I have my eyes are unscannable.
I technically have government iris id but its not much use.
Long and short is that we have our own demons to battle with.
As the bbc drama says, the dark is rising.
Unlike that drama, there isn’t an ancient race of old ones to save us, we have to do that ourselves.
And even if we don’t go nuclear in the next year or decade.
There are rumors of this being the century of the nomad and with the climate blowout to be round 4 degrees.
Already storms and the like have forced people out of their homes even here.
And with the price of fuel and general supplies, well at least for the next 2 or so years anyway, the crime and all the other crazyness coming with shutting down and restarting the world, its no wander this aint making it.
I still have an really ancient computer and I don’t see myself upgrading any time soon even if win10 is phased out.
We really don’t have much more than that but its the wrong time to even look at new tech.
OOh and just like you guys in the us, we have shootings now, not to many but enough.
The world is in flux and no one knows exactly where we are headed but we know the road is rough.
If this was last century then maybe.
Maybe when we settle down after the big blow has past, after the world has burned and we have yet again exhausted our built up want for squobble will we yet again enter another age of peace.
Even when we were at peace there were always many startups like this and a lot of them never made it.
I used to work for a company called sonnar inteeractive based in poland.
Its wish was to make games for the blind online with subscription.
While they did make some not all worked out.
Eventually well there wasn’t a market and they moved to other projects.
First to work on library systems for the blind but I haven’t heard about them for some years.
I have been in a startup I put cash on, and it looked like it was working out.
However it never made it to release.
    Thats happened twice.
Its just the way the world runs right now.
