Posting photos of children online, the debate continues

This morning, I was hearing an interesting discussion of whether it is a good idea to post photos of your children online.

While no definitive answer is given, The Digital Goddess Kim Komando says that if you post anything like vacation photos, you should wait till you get back so people don’t know when you were gone.

But that doesn’t necessarily resolve the problem of whether you should post your children’s photos online. Some say no, I don’t remember what Kim said, but I think the hosts of the Cybercrime Radio Network have it right. If you do it responsibly and in a safe manner, it should be OK. They did say that some say not to do it at all, but I don’t know if that’s taking it too far.

Remember that Photos can contain your location, and that is not something tht most people know. That’s in the meta data of the file, so no matter when you post photos, those who are smart will be able to get at your location.

I’m leaving this as an open discussion I don’t think there’s a wrong answer, but I’d be curious on what you have to say?
