Here’s more on the twitter fiasco charging $1 to do basic things

I blogged about X apparently wanting to charge $1 for people to use the service.

In a fortune article posted within the last week, it says that current users are not needing to pay the money, but yet new users will.

They say its not supposed to be a money making thing, and the company touts that they’ve pretty much got all of their advertisers back.

To read the entire article by Fortune, posted on October 17th, please read the article. Its titled EXCLUSIVE: X, formerly known as Twitter, will begin charging new users $1 a year to access key features including the ability to tweet and retweet.

I guess we’ll see how this supposedly will go for new users.

  1. Well while I am happy existing users don’t need to pay, you do realise twitter is shooting its ass?
I am on twitter but really I may eventually have to shift as so many are no longer there.
Due to my eyes and such I am constantly shuffling computer time about.
Today I managed to force myself to sleep.
Currently I managed tto get up early in the morning but there is a cost to this.
I haven’t gotten to email yet and am still wallowing in chip backups and system updates.
I do wander what musk is thinking of.
Why does he want the social net empire well or rather an historica bit of it now.
He has the first electric car empire, he is into space to, isn’t that enough?
Lets hope he doesn’t want to become presidant or we are truely lost.
