Haven’t upgraded to IOS 17.1 yet? maybe this past article might make you do so

I know I know, I’m still on 16.x, but my goal is to upgrade to 17x.

In today’s article, which was written by Dan Goodin on the 26th indicates that the “Hide my Wifi” setting which prevented your Mac addrss to be published wasn’t actually working as expected.

For most users, it seemed to work fine, according to the article, but research indicates that the Mac address was still being sent if someone knew how to sniff it out on the same network.
