What daily challenge on what platform could have sparked the AI generative Taylor Swift drama?

4chan daily challenge sparked deluge of explicit AI Taylor Swift images

OK, so the Graphic has the answer, just because they alt tagged their image they used and I want to try and put images where appropriate.

The ars article does indicate that this is not the only celebrity where people are targeting, and to make things worse, they can if they want go after school children.

4chan users who have made a game out of exploiting popular AI image generators appear to be at least partly responsible for the flood of fake images sexualizing Taylor Swift that went viral last month.

As we know, searching Taylor Swift on Twitter (formerly known now as X) yielded no results as the images of her supposed AI in some sort of intimate pictures were floating around the Internet.

The funny thing about all of this is that while Microsoft says they’re investigating, Open AI says that they have no reason to believe that their product is used in this manner.

Graphika researchers—who study how communities are manipulated online—traced the fake Swift images to a 4chan message board that’s “increasingly” dedicated to posting “offensive” AI-generated content, The New York Times reported. Fans of the message board take part in daily challenges, Graphika reported, sharing tips to bypass AI image generator filters and showing no signs of stopping their game any time soon.

The one paragraph where I said that Microsoft was still Researching but Open AI denied everything says:

OpenAI has denied that any of the Swift images were created using DALL-E, while Microsoft has continued to claim that it’s investigating whether any of its AI tools were used.

At least Microsoft says that they’re looking in to the matter. I’d rather hear than a flat denial unless you have proof of it.

Did I mention the school children earlier? That paragraph says:

“While viral pornographic pictures of Taylor Swift have brought mainstream attention to the issue of AI-generated non-consensual intimate images, she is far from the only victim,” López G. said. “In the 4chan community where these images originated, she isn’t even the most frequently targeted public figure. This shows that anyone can be targeted in this way, from global celebrities to school children.”

When I read this, I got to thinking. All I wanted to do when I was younger was learn and touch. This is because I can’t see. But putting images out there of children in some type of position I don’t know much about is something I wouldn’t do. The thing is, nobody knows that they’re being taken advantage of. You and I can actually be taken advantage of as I type this. Even when it goes to publish we could be targeted and we would never know.

I know one thing, this is something we should be concerned about and I don’t think I have the answers.

Originally, 404 Media reported that the harmful Swift images appeared to originate from 4chan and Telegram channels before spreading on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media. Attempting to stop the spread, X took the drastic step of blocking all searches for “Taylor Swift” for two days.

Did that solve anything?

Experts told The Times that 4chan users were likely motivated to participate in these challenges for bragging rights and to “feel connected to a wider community.”

Bragging rights? Really? Bragging rights that you could take some child and an image of them and do what you want with them by running it through tools freely available.

Maybe its a good idea I have a very old photo of myself on my web site for my personal page and I submit it to other places. Only clubhouse has a more updated photo, but that was for them since I couldn’t get this one in there.

4chan daily challenge sparked deluge of explicit AI Taylor Swift images is the article coming from Ars. Have fun with this one! As they say, good luck!
