I can’t seem to find an original post, but Malwarebytes is reporting that this scam is now in varying languages now.
The scam starts by tagging folk whose accounts may have been compromised. It says that there was a fatal car accident and points people to a link. This link is used to download malware, not show you anything about the supposed accident.
I do remember seeing this somewhere, and I thought I blogged it, unless it happened to be a Kim Komando newsletter and the top story I didn’t go and get that day.
This is an updated version, so its better late than never. Thanks, Malwarebytes for this. Facebook fatal accident scam still rages on | Malwarebytes is the article.
