Volt Typhoon operated in networks for years

I heard this article today, and I ended up taking a nap. Probably my brain was on overload on the fact that someone was allowed to sit in some network for years persistently.

I wonder where the tools were that could detect such things? I now that one device in particular could notified folk there was an issue, but that is for them to find out.

I’ve decided that instead of going on a rant, I’d just let you all read it for yourselves and you can go on the rant for me. There are no words for this.
