I was able to travel safely Thursday, listening to podcasts and I was getting alerts during my travel including communicating with one of my partners who work where I was for the day.
I was tipped off to the outage yesterday by Michael who used to live in Indiana. I told him I’d see what “The Cyberwire” had to say as I was alerted that way, but I also found AT&T services back up, cause of outage still unknown | Cybernews which is probably one of mamy articles out there.
AT&T sent a text message after 3 PT apologizing for the outage, saying they could do better.
The article here indicates that multiple agencies are interested in what happened including the FBI, CISA and others.
The article does indicate that other carriers were experiencing issues around the same time of the AT&T outage, but nothing as drastic as that.
T-Mobile paid money because of issues connecting to 911 back in 2021. This was mentioned in the attached article.
If we hear anything else, we’ll see about posting an update.
