KDE warns not to install plug ins from their store uploaded by third parties

This particular article indicates that KDE, a distribution platform that can change desktop themes and other things on the PC can in fact wipe data, as told within the article.

While I have no knowledge of the company, they appear to be a small company with not enough resources to vet the plugins and other things on their site and store for malicious activity.

I do give them credit though, they will now be trying the best they can to both give warnings from the plug in or web site when adding things, but I wonder if it is too late for this cycle?
