Use Shopify? Better get a load of this

A now closed hole that is discussed in this article titled Shopify plugins leaked data from nearly 2K stores | Cybernews is something you should worry about.

Anything you could ever enter in to a form that used plug ins by Shopify may have been taken. Many many screenshots here with alt tags indicated the vast amounts of data collected.

Not surprising, Shopify says that they had no issues, yet secured the database. A spokesperson said the database was already “password protected” (in quotes) so why was this database supposedly open to someone who found it and tried to disclose what was going on?

Luckily it was Cybernews folk who found it, what if someone with malicious intent had something to do with this and it got completely leaked?

Shopify must be ashamed of this one.
