CyberNews is reporting that a database is now out containing employee data after the recent breach. The last paragraph indicates that it is unclear how the hackers got ahold of the data. Well, it seems to me that if they stole it when the breached it, made a database with so many users, then that’s how. The number in the article is only 10,000 but that’s way too many. This seems like this database was not open, but either came from Home Depot itself or recompiled by the hackers.
The malicious actor named here is Intel Broker. The article says its a leaked database, and the foru it was alledged to be posted to was Breached forums.
