Threads can’t compete?

I heard somewhere that Threads is bouncing back. But an article through Tech Crunch said that the trending Earthquake that happened this morning missed the mark.

I saw smething on my phone about it some hours ago, and this quake, a rarity for the New Jersey New York area was felt widely.

We hope that listeners and subscribers who live there and felt the quake are doing OK.

The article that we’ll link to shortly indicates that the Threads version of trending tags is not even competitive to X, formerly known as Twitter.

The hashtag was trending within hours on Twitter, but Threads only become popular within the past few hours.

If people are going to rely on Social Media for their news or to report something like an earthquake to the world, they’ll use the service that is more in the know. Sadly, that’s Twitter.

Threads missed its earthquake moment as the term didn’t trend until the afternoon
