I don’t technically do not have a problem with Open AI. We have it with the new test picture smart with the latest Jaws and its quite good.
The problem is, that Stack Overflow and some of these other sites with questions and answers were generated with users who took the time out of their day to answer questions of all kinds.
These types of sites have all kinds of questions, even some that you might not necessarily expect.
I do not necessarily blame the users for being angry about the fact that their content will be used to train the models. We’ve known that those models are interesting anyway, and Kimn has said that they can even halucinate because they’re confused.
With this said, it isn’t clear what stack overflow will do, use the AI to enhance the experience, or to use it and get rid of the hard work eventually.
I really like how the AI is integrated in to Jaws through the enhanced early adopter program. If they were going to use the AI like that, I’m game. If not, than i don’t know what to think.
This article is titled Stack Overflow bans users en masse for rebelling against OpenAI partnership — users banned for deleting answers to prevent them being used to train ChatGPT and comes from Tom’s Hardware.
I know I used this source on a credible story once before, if it is found out that there’s nothing to this later, I won’t be using them anymore. Shame on me once, this is the second. If we’re bit again, I’ve got no more words.
