Do you use Quick Assist? I’ve never heard of it!

Its interesting to note how we can learn something knew, even in just reading an article.

I’ve never heard of Quick Assist, not until this article we’re blogging from Bleeping computer.

Apparently, Black Basta is using this tool to install QakBot among other things they feel like on to your system.

Speaking of strange email, I had a flood of spam forms that came to WCT’s domain while I was out running erands. Suffice it to say, I might have had a call from an unknown number on one of my numbers, but I wasn’t here.

I think I had 20 or 30 emails from something like as the from address. Just strange.

Remember, whatever you use for connecting to ones computer, always trust where its coming from. I’d say that you should only do it with people you trust, not from someone who calls you telling you have a problem you don’t. If you have a problem, you call someone, that’s different.

Microsoft Social Engineering

The way this is done is through social engineering. This is one of the most common form to get in one’s machine. If you remember these things, you’ll be good.
