Section 230 getting repealed?

We plan to cover this although reading it turns out to be a 2-page article.

We’ll figure that out.

This article comes from Ars Technica and I think there’s one aspect that needs to be discussed.

While I can see smaller companies like yours and mine being sued over what people write, we have a huge problem where platforms like Facebook and others allow things discussed within the two-page article. This could includ cyberbullying, getting people to communicate off platform where they can be pig butchered, sexting and other things.

Right now, the law protects your normal citizen from these lawsuits and this claims that this could open us up to lawsuits.

I don’t know what I think about this, because I moderate my blog and make sure things are not posted that could potentially harm people.

While I’m no facebook, tiktok or other platform, those are the ones I’m concerned about as they do nothing to protect us from the violence we’ve seen, some of which start online.

Lawmakers say Section 230 repeal will protect children—opponents predict chaos is a two page article, and should be read. I haven’t figured out how to cover this, and I’m loking at this openly.

No decision has been made right now on 230. Let’s make that clear.
