a very interesting computer issue

Hey gang,

Maybe someone can give me some pointers on a very interesting computer issue one of my buddies is having.

This is a windows 10 machine that got re-installed after some issues with the software.

Since then, they’ve installed Thunderbird and use its RSS feature to download files and send them through phone lines.

The issue is that this is not working. Thunderbird acts like it’ll save the mp3, but it doesn’t.

Mine is working as it should. When looking at file extions, the only popping up is PDF which opens in thunderbird. Mine has all kinds of extensions and I know I have no issue downloading files.

They’re running the same version of Thunderbird, 115.11.1 and the latest jaws screen reader.

If we need to change programs for him to do what needs to be done, what program should be used?

I was sent an old 2015 article stating that Thunderbird only works with m4a files now, but as I stated, mine works fine.

He would prefer a free program, but we can probably buy one if it works as expected.

I know about Q-Read I believe it was called, the RSS reader, but I don’t know if it is still being maintained.

You can send comments and recommendations here or contact me through email, text or whatsapp.
