As indicated in this small article by doubletap on air, Twitter will be fixing this “mistake” and hopefully will push the update out very soon.
While I don’t use this app on a regular, the writers of the article reitterated that they fired the team that was responsible for making sure the app was accessible.

At least the notifications still work. They break that, I’m in trouble.
