We’ve been looking to see if we could get an update on this ordeal where TikTok could be banned in The U.S. because of its various practices and violation of privacy.
We’ve talked quite a bit on TSB and Throwback in regards to this topic. While I can see both sides, I know that I am not on the platform, and everything I am reading indicate that this platform is very dangerous.
I’m not saying Facebook and Twitter, now known as X is any better, but as an example, I do not know if any of them have gone so far as to supposedly collect everything on your phone and even supposedly collect your typing keystrokes even if you are not using the app.
If ByteDance is actually doing this, as experts have reported, this is a big problem.
Our biggest thing is how the ban will be enforced. While I support such a move if in fact they are bad enough to support it, I don’t know if this can be enforced.
