Apple has recently been fined $150m€ in another case dealing with privacy. This time, the French regulator is not questioning the idea of the framework of what Apple is using, but the fact that Apple is implementing this with no regards to smaller publishers who rely on advertising to make ends meat.
I have no advertising on my web sites, and even if I had a free to low cost app on the store, that gives me no right to collect any data from anyone. I don’t need to collect data unless the app crashes and I need logs. This is absolutely crazy.
