Another article I spotted on Ars talks about a genetic site called Open SNP.
Apparently they’ve been operating for many years, but feel like its the best time to close up shop.
Do I blame them? No, not necessarily. With 23&Me closing shop because of their pending issues of bankrupsy, and the fact that a lot of the data came from there, SNP decided it was best to close up shop.
23&Me may as well close up shop, seeing how it is recommended that everyone delete their data because of privacy concerns. They claimed they are going to continue to run, but we’ll see what really happens with that.
