M&S now says data has been pilfered, says you don’t have to do anything

The M&S shop we’ve been monitoring through the past few weeks on Sans is now saying that information has been pilfered.

The information includes: full name, email address, home address, your phone number, date of birth, your online order history, info on our household, sparks pay reference numbers and masked payment card info.

The fact that the payment info was masked is a good thing, but that doesn’t stop anyone from using other info not masked to do some damage or trick you to reveal info not within this dataset.

Since we fell behind in Sans, we’ll be moving on to this week and not worrying about last week, but I’m sure this will continue to be covered within the newsletter.

Also, the fact that M&S is continuing to provide updates when they’ve learned more is a complete plus. Some companies do some of this, while others have done very little.

I give propts to this company for continuing to update customers and the public on this unfortunate situation and what they’re learning about it.

Please continue to do this.

M&S says customer data stolen in cyberattack, forces password resets is our article with the latest updates.

Thanks for reading, make it a great day!
